OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Armed Forces want to create a buffer zone in the northern regions of Ukraine. This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky in his Telegram channel.
He said that the Russian army plans to take control of Donbass. In addition, according to him, the plans include expanded "offensive operations in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions," and an increase in the buffer zone in the northern regions of Ukraine.
Syrsky also noted an increase in the intensity of missile, drone and aerial bomb attacks by the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the buffer zone on the border of Russia and Ukraine is being created through Kiev's fault. According to him, the reason for its formation is the "aggressive nature of the Kiev regime," and the goal is to "insure the safety" of Russian citizens.
