OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Armed Forces have attacked the port of Chernomorsk in the Odessa region. The continuation of the military operation was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry, a statement was published on Telegram.

According to the defense ministry, near Odessa, the facilities of a distribution center that handled military cargo from "foreign countries" were hit.

"In addition, at the sea crossing to the port of Odessa, two marine vessels of the sukhogruz type, which were delivering goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a tugboat escorting these bulk carriers were hit," the defense Ministry added.

Earlier, State Duma deputy and member of the Defense Committee Andrei Kolesnik reported that the purpose of the military operation in Kiev and Odessa were facilities of the military—industrial complex of Ukraine. According to him, Odessa is a port where all the logistics chains of arms supplies from the West are connected.
