OREANDA-NEWS The Simonovsky Court of Moscow has recovered more than 19 million rubles at the request of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation from the former head of the Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tsvetnov and three other people for embezzlement of funds allocated for the restoration of objects of the Solovetsky Archipelago, according to official court documents available to RIA Novosti.
According to the documents, in order to realize their intention in 2012-2016, the accomplices concluded five state contracts for conducting historical and cultural examinations of objects of the Solovetsky Archipelago with LLC Lantana, LLC Alt, LLC Las Flores Group, LLC Smartphones, which did not have the authority to conduct the above examinations, and organized their execution. at an inflated cost, after which they ensured the signing of acceptance certificates for the completed works and their payment, which caused material damage to the state on an especially large scale.
"The members of the criminal group disposed of the funds received at their discretion. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has been recognized as a victim in the criminal case, which retains the right to satisfy a civil claim," the documents say.
Thus, the court jointly recovered about 19 million 395 thousand rubles from Vladimir Tsvetnov, Tatiana Magdeeva, Pavel Mosolov and Sergey Semikov.
In May 2023, the Moscow Meshchansky Court in a case of embezzlement sentenced Vladimir Tsvetnov, former head of the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture, Pavel Mosolov, former deputy, and businessmen Tatiana Magdeeva and Sergei Semikov, who won tenders for the restoration of the Solovetsky Monastery, to terms of two to four years in prison. The court considered all four of them to have served their sentences in jail and under house arrest.
In addition, Sergei Volkov, another person involved in the criminal case, was previously extradited to Russia from Cambodia.
