OREANDA-NEWS  French President Emmanuel Macron will announce the name of the country's new prime minister by the evening of October 10. This was announced by outgoing Prime Minister Sebastian Lecorn, Bloomberg reports.

"There are opportunities for compromise in parliament. The absolute majority in the National Assembly opposes a new dissolution," said Lecornoux, who was instructed by Macron to reach an agreement with political groups to form a new cabinet.

If the new prime minister is unable to form a cabinet, the French leader will either have to call parliamentary elections, appoint another prime minister, or resign, an option he has previously rejected.

On October 6, French Prime Minister Sebastian Lecorny resigned from his post less than a month after his appointment. As reported, the reason for this decision was the harsh criticism of the new government announced by him, in particular, by right-wing parties.
