The death toll in the fire at the Ryazan enterprise has increased to 24 people

OREANDA-NEWS Rescuers during emergency rescue operations found the body of another victim of a fire at an enterprise in the Ryazan region, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported in its telegram channel on Monday.
"The total number of injured is 157 people, 24 of them died," the press service said.
Earlier it was reported that the bodies of two victims were recovered from the rubble, one person died in hospital. The total death toll was 23 people. As of 7 a.m. on August 18, there were 134 injured.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Ryazan region, all patients taken to the Ryazan Regional Clinical Hospital are in satisfactory condition. They have already been transferred from the intensive care unit to specialized departments, where they continue to receive the necessary treatment.
"The victims suffered various injuries, but many may have consequences from the blast wave, primarily hearing loss. For examination from the OKB named after An ENT team arrived in Semashko on August 18. On Wednesday, an ENT team will go to the Shilovsky district to examine the lightly injured who were not hospitalized," the press service notes.
On August 15, a fire broke out in the workshop of the enterprise in the village of Lesnoy, Ryazan region, as a result of which people died.
Specialists of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations continue emergency rescue operations. Half of the destroyed structures have been dismantled on 3 thousand square meters. Dog handlers examined 100% of the premises. Psychologists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to provide assistance to the victims.
By order of the Governor of the Ryazan region Pavel Malkov, on August 15, from 19:00 and until further notice, an emergency regime was introduced in the territory of the Shilovsky municipal district. The head of the region declared August 18 a day of mourning in connection with the tragic events in the Ryazan region.
The amount of payments to the families of the victims and the injured has been set: 1 million 567.5 thousand rubles to the families of the victims, from 313.5 thousand to 627 thousand rubles to the victims, depending on the harm caused to their health. Residents of the village of Lesnoy, whose property was damaged due to an emergency situation, can receive financial assistance in the amount of 15,675 rubles for priority needs.
A criminal case has been opened into the fire under Part 3 of Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).
