OREANDA-NEWS The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has identified signs of a cartel in the field of railway electrification in the amount of more than 5.6 billion rubles related to infrastructure, including those included in the Baikal-Amur (BAMA) and Trans-Siberian (Transsiberian) highways, the regulator said.

"FAS has identified signs of a cartel in the field of railway electrification in the amount of more than 5.6 billion rubles. The auctions were held to create infrastructure, including those included in the Baikal-Amur and Trans-Siberian highways," the ministry said in a statement.

The Service has initiated a case on violation of antimonopoly legislation against LLC Materials of the Contact Network, LLC Contact Network of Railways, LLC Electrification of Railways and LLC Scientific and Production Association Magistral.
