OREANDA-NEWS The Kremlin expects that humanitarian aid will be delivered unhindered and safely to the city of Alyoshki on Thursday and Friday, and everyone will be able to leave this settlement, the plane has already taken off for them, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
"We know that the flight has already left Moscow. There will be a rather complicated scheme for how they will get there," he said in an interview with Izvestia.
"Mine clearance is underway there, and we hope that today or tomorrow residents will be able to receive humanitarian aid unhindered and safely, and those who wish will be able to leave this settlement," the Kremlin spokesman added.
Peskov was also asked whether the operation in Alyoshki would facilitate the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi and a possible subsequent summit.
"Such humanitarian missions are certainly important. At least, this is some kind of coordination of actions based on higher humanitarian considerations. And, of course, it is precisely these peacekeeping humanitarian efforts of the American side that are very valuable here," he replied.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian army had stopped firing from 4:00 a.m. Moscow time on October 27 and imposed a regime of silence in the Kherson direction in connection with the preparation of a humanitarian operation in the Alyoshek area.
