OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Federation in 2023 collected 1.6 million tons of buckwheat against 1.2 million tons last year, this is one of the highest results in history, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev said during a meeting of the operational staff of the Russian Federation in the coordination center of the government.

"1.6 million tons of buckwheat have been harvested, which is one of the highest results for our country," Patrushev said.

According to Rosstat, 1,222 million tons of buckwheat were harvested in 2022.
