The Ministry of Finance proposed to increase state duties for car owners

OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation proposes to increase a number of state duties for car owners from September 2025, as well as introduce new duties for migrants, follows from amendments to the Tax Code developed by the Ministry and available to RIA Novosti.
The bill was approved by the Russian government's commission on legislative activity, a source familiar with the discussion told RIA Novosti.
According to the document, it is proposed to increase the fee for obtaining a vehicle passport to 1,200 rubles from 800 rubles, and for making changes to a previously issued vehicle passport to 525 rubles instead of the current 350 rubles.
It is also proposed to increase the fee for issuing a national driver's license, including to replace a lost or unusable one made from plastic-based consumables from 2,000 rubles to 4,000 rubles, and made from new-generation plastic-based consumables from 3,000 rubles to 6,000 rubles.
In addition, it is proposed to increase the fees for issuing an international driver's license from 1,600 rubles to 3,200 rubles, for issuing a certificate of admission of vehicles to transport dangerous goods from 1,500 rubles to 2,250 rubles, and for its extension from 1,000 rubles to 1,500 rubles. For the issuance of Transit vehicles state signs on metal for cars and trailers, the fee may increase from 1,600 rubles to 2,400 rubles, and for the issuance of a registration plate for motorcycles and trailers - from 1,500 rubles to 2,250 rubles.
In addition, the bill proposes a number of changes in fees for migrants. Thus, it is proposed to introduce a fee for registration at the place of residence of a foreigner in the amount of 500 rubles, and for extending the period of temporary stay - 1000 rubles. The fee for the grant or renewal of a patent is planned to be set at 4,200 rubles. You will also have to pay 4,200 rubles for extending the validity period of a work permit, and 2,100 rubles for issuing a duplicate or making changes to the permit.
The fee for registration of a foreigner at the place of residence is proposed to be increased from the current 420 rubles to 1,000 rubles, according to the amendments of the Ministry of Finance.
