OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is working to change the mechanism of parallel imports, and plans to take a different approach to creating a list of goods available for import without the manufacturer's permission, the ministry told RIA Novosti.

"The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is working to reformat the approach to the list of goods subject to the parallel import regime. Thus, it is proposed to include in the list, in addition to the EAEU HS code and means of individualization, also the numbers of state registration in the state register of trademarks and service marks. This will make it possible to extend parallel imports, for example, to graphic or combined trademarks," the ministry explained.
