OREANDA-NEWS  Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Andrey Svintsov (LDPR) told how to block Twitch, Discord and other foreign gaming and entertainment services. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Svintsov called the condition for blocking Twitch and Discord and called for closing access to them after the creation of domestic analogues. At the same time, you should start with regulation, then issue warnings and collect fines.

"But I would like to emphasize once again that it is desirable to block it after the Russian analogues are already working well enough," the deputy noted.

The parliamentarian called for supporting the development of domestic gaming platforms and advocated their promotion in international markets. Replacing the sites will be a difficult but necessary process.

"Just like it happens with Telegram, or how Yandex broke into world markets, or Kaspersky. Another thing is that the United States, the special services and regulators of the United States, they, of course, interfere with this in every possible way, impose certain sanctions against our companies — just as they already do against Chinese companies," Svintsov concluded.

At the end of November, Russia proposed banning Twitch. Ekaterina Mizulina, the Head of the Safe Internet League, made such an initiative.
