OREANDA-NEWS President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the talks with US President Donald Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner in Berlin. His words are conveyed by the Telegram channel "News.Live».
"Consultations with the United States took place in Berlin yesterday and today. This is an important conversation," the Ukrainian leader said.
He called the meetings difficult but productive. Zelensky stressed that the delegations had discussed many details.
Prior to that, it became known that Zelensky and Witkoff began negotiations in Berlin aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine. The meeting on December 14 lasted five hours, and the next day the negotiations continued and took two hours.
