OREANDA-NEWS The OnlyFans platform, on which users post erotic content on a paid subscription, has finally frozen Russian accounts indefinitely. The company could not find ways to continue servicing the authors against the background of tougher sanctions against Russia.

The company said it was taking steps to suspend the accounts of authors receiving payments in Russia. Attempts were made to continue providing services to the creators, but "further tightening of payment restrictions to and from Russia" prevented it from servicing these accounts.

At the end of February 2022, OnlyFans already froze the accounts of Russian content creators. Then users complained that when trying to withdraw funds, the service shows a message about the inability to perform an operation in this region. By the beginning of March, the company had solved the problem and restored the activity of accounts. Representatives of OnlyFans also stressed that they did not freeze accounts due to the location of the authors, and all restrictions were related exclusively to the banking sector.
