OREANDA-NEWS  Russian video hosting Rutube faced cyber attacks on Victory Day, including DDoS, all of them were successfully blocked and repelled. This was reported to TASS by the technical director of Rutube Rostislav Chernakov.

"There were attacks today, including DDoS. But they were reflected at the moment of the threat. Without the possibility of influencing the functionality of the site and users," Chernakov said.

A year ago, on May 9, 2022, Rutube, according to the press service of the service, was subjected to the "most powerful cyberattack" in the history of video hosting. As a result of the attack, more than 75% of the databases and infrastructure of the main version and 90% of backups and clusters for database recovery were affected. On May 11, Rutube was launched after a cyberattack and was almost completely restored. In January of this year, Alexander Zharov, CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding, said that the main purpose of the attack on Rutube was the destruction of its architecture without the possibility of restoration. The hacking of the video hosting, according to him, was carried out on the principle of an attack on Iran's nuclear program.
