OREANDA-NEWS. The co-founder of Apple — 71-year-old Steve Wozniak — announced the creation of a space company Privateer Space, which «will not be like the others» (in what exactly, he did not specify). Wozniak will create a new project together with the head of the robotics company Ripcord, Alex Fielding.

A new private space company declares «the safety of space and it's accessibility for all people». Privateer Space even has the first advertising trailer, but what exactly they will do is not yet reported. The details are promised to be told at the September AMOS Tech conference. It will be held from September 14 to 17 on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

Earlier, Wozniak said that the development of space tourism will depend, in particular, on how many people can afford such a trip. So it seems that the new company will focus on space tourism. Last summer, the founder of Amazon and Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos, allowed himself to travel to space. And the founder of Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson, made a suborbital flight as a tourist.

Earlier it was reported that Apple released emergency updates to eliminate vulnerabilities identified with the help of Israeli surveillance software Pegasus. According to The Guardian, such a quick reaction indicates the «extremely serious nature» of the vulnerabilities discovered. The Wall Street Journal noted that to infect gadgets, users did not even need to click on the links they received or open a document.
