OREANDA-NEWS  Since the beginning of 2022, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has demanded to remove or restrict access to more than 3.1 thousand Internet resources with offers to sell fake documents, the press service of the supervisory authority reports.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, websites are increasingly acting as a means of committing a number of offenses and crimes, including those related to the sale of forged documents granting rights or releasing from duties. So, often such Internet resources contain offers for the sale of fake diplomas, certificates of advanced training, certificates of security guards, medical certificates, workbooks and other documents.

"Since the beginning of 2022, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, based on the results of consideration of appeals, applications, notifications, as well as after the discovery of such information by the prosecutor's office, has sent 153 demands to Roskomnadzor to take measures to remove it and (or) restrict access to more than 3.1 thousand resources," the message says.

In addition, the release adds, as a result of the work of the Prosecutor General's Office and other departments, access is restricted and more than 5 thousand phishing sites have been discontinued.
