Passenger ferry catches fire in Philippines, there are dead

OREANDA-NEWS A fire broke out on board a ferry that was in the waters off the west coast of the Philippines, the Associated Press reports.
According to Coast Guard officer Captain Noemi Kayabyab, at least five people died in the incident.
"Judging by the data we currently have on those rescued and those killed, we are still searching for 87 people," she said.
According to her, 42 people have been rescued, and rescue operations are continuing.
The MV June Aster ferry left Manila and was located near the city of Coron in Palawan province when a fire started on board at about 18:45 (13.45 Moscow time) on Wednesday.
According to a Coast Guard official, 134 people were on board, including 117 passengers and 17 crew members.
It is reported that there were no foreigners on board the ferry.
The causes of the fire are still unknown.
