OREANDA-NEWS  The co-founder of Yandex, Arkady Volozh, said goodbye to the company in a New Year's address to its employees, it is available to RIA Novosti.

"It's time for me to write a farewell post to etushka. As you know, I have not managed the Russian Yandex for a long time, and this year I had to leave all positions in the company altogether. In the hustle and bustle of recent months, I have not said goodbye to you. The New Year is a good reason to fix it," he wrote. Volozh also noted that the restructuring plan being developed by Yandex is now "quite reasonable and necessary." At the same time, he made it clear that he was not retiring from business at all.

"I am still interested in giving advice to four international startups that can develop outside of the Yandex holding,— Volozh stressed. He called the company the project of his life. "And not just mine. All these 30 years we have been doing it together — from scratch, in the face of global competition, striving to behave openly and honestly. Thanks to everyone who built and is building the best technology company in the country," Volozh wrote.

The parent company of Yandex is considering the possibility of separating the main part of the business into a separate Russian group of firms. The organization plans to eventually withdraw from its shareholders and change its name. The new Yandex structure in Russia will have to include a number of foreign destinations and will retain the brand.
