OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to change the name of his Servant of the People party ahead of the parliamentary elections. This was reported on Friday, December 31, by the "Strana.ua" edition, citing sources.

Thus, the new name is likely to include the surname of the Ukrainian leader.

“Zelensky wants to rename the Servant of the People party closer to the parliamentary elections ... According to the sources of the publication, Bankova is discussing the option according to which the Servant of the People will be renamed into the Zelensky Party (or some similar name with using the president's surname). And it is under such a brand that it will go to the polls, "- stated in the publication of the publication in Telegram.

It is clarified that the intention to rename the party is connected with sociological data, according to which Zelensky's rating is significantly higher than that of his party.

According to the source, there will be few members of the Servant of the People faction in the list of current deputies.

“Characters with a spoiled image, but who will still need to be held in the parliament or who will pay money, are planned to be crammed into the lists of satellite parties that Bankova is preparing to go to the elections,” the newspaper quoted the source as saying.

The next elections for the head of the Ukrainian state are to be held in 2024, and in the Verkhovna Rada in 2023. On November 11, a study by the sociological group "Rating" was published, according to which more than half of the Ukrainians surveyed supported the idea of dissolving the Verkhovna Rada and the resignation of the government. It also turned out that 40% support the idea of the president's resignation and the appointment of early presidential elections, while 58% do not.
