OREANDA-NEWS  State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Yaroslav Nilov called for December 31 to be fixed as a day off, postponing it from January 8. The politician stated this in a conversation with Lenta.ru".

"What must be done is to fix December 31 as a day off," the deputy stressed. — We have already introduced this bill, proposing to postpone the non-working holiday from January 8 to December 31. The checksum does not change, everything is logical."

Nilov clarified that the government's response to this bill has not yet been received, but this year and next year the problem will not be relevant anyway, because December 31 falls on a weekend.

"But then the problem will become urgent, it is necessary to fix this day in order to avoid calendar bacchanalia," Nilov is sure.

Earlier it was reported that 53.8 percent of Russians plan to relax at home during the winter holidays. 12.1 percent will go to another city, 8 percent plan to visit another country, 4.8 percent plan to go to nature.
