OREANDA-NEWS   Canadian-American actor and comedian Jim Carrey joked on his Twitter account about the ban on entry to Russia.

He commented on the incident with the words "I'm afraid the worst has happened." "We were banned from entering Russia. But the problems of hundreds of Canadians are worthless in this world. We will always have Paris," Kerry wrote.

This is how he reacted to the post of the writer Margaret Atwood, who also got on the sanctions list of Russia. "Jim Carrey and I were planning a naughty weekend in Moscow. I think now we will have to go to Kiev instead," she joked.

On November 14, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the introduction of personal sanctions against actor Jim Carrey. "In response to the ongoing practice of the introduction of sanctions by the regime of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau against the leadership of Russia, politicians and parliamentarians, representatives of the business community, experts and journalists, cultural figures, as well as all those whom the Canadian Russophobic authorities consider objectionable, entry for 100 Canadian citizens is being closed on the basis of reciprocity," the statement said.

In addition to Kerry, the list includes other representatives of culture: writer and film director David Bezmozgis, actress Catherine Vinnik, writers Margaret Atwood and Maria Reva.
