OREANDA-NEWS. The Bezhitsk Steel Foundry (BSF) has received two new lift cranes for the open-hearth plant.

According to the press service of Transmashholding, the 50-ton casting crane is designed for carrying the shovel with metal to the foundry. The second 12.5-ton crane is designed to carry the fusion mixture to the open-hearth furnace. The new equipment installation works will take some 30 days.

The equipment was purchased at the Kharkov lifting and transportation equipment plant (Ukraine).

The new equipment will replace the badly worn out cranes, 37 and 18 years old respectively. The dismantled cranes will become scrap metal.
