OREANDA-NEWS  Japan's Path to Rebirth Party has announced that artificial intelligence (AI) will become its "new leader." This is reported by The Japan Times newspaper.

"Artificial intelligence will become the new leader," said Koki Okumura, a graduate student in the artificial intelligence research program at Kyoto University, who described himself as the "assistant to the new leader" of the party during a press conference.

Okumura, 25, recently won party elections and succeeded the movement's founder, Shinji Ishimora.

According to him, AI will not build the political course of the party, but will focus on issues such as "the distribution of financial resources among party members."

On September 11, Albania was the first in the world to appoint an artificial intelligence to the post of Minister of State. An AI named Diella will be involved in government procurement.
