OREANDA-NEWS Rostec is launching the IGLA 93 hunting rifle, which will become an affordable replacement for foreign analogues, the state corporation said.

"For the first time in Russia, a full production cycle of such a sample has been organized, made 100% from Russian materials by a Russian company. The rifle is not only able to replace foreign analogues, but also has a number of advantages: the barrel and bolt are made of stainless steel, while conventional steel is used in the manufacture of foreign products, which does not have corrosion resistance. The rifling in the barrel is obtained by gouging, which ensures higher accuracy of the geometry of the bore and minimizes defects. The basic model immediately has a muzzle thread. The bed is made of carbon fiber and has an adjustable cheek. The rifle also has an adjustable trigger," Rostec said.
