Sber spoke about the introduction of AI by businesses

OREANDA-NEWS The vast majority of large Russian businesses are already working with artificial intelligence: 97% are either implementing or planning to implement AI solutions. However, only 26% of them have a formalized AI development strategy. This was stated by Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, referring to the results of a study by Strategy Partners (a subsidiary of Sberbank).
"We are witnessing a characteristic paradox: companies are massively experimenting with generative AI, but most remain at the level of fragmented pilots. Thus, 97% of large Russian companies are already implementing or planning to implement AI, but only one in four has a strategy for the development of this technology. The emergence of enterprise platforms for creating AI agents, such as Gigachat Enterprise ("Gigachat Business"), is changing the rules of the game. Now the business has received a tool that allows it to move from experiments to system implementation: with access control, agent management and work within the corporate contour. And all this is possible with a choice of configuration ― local, cloud or hybrid ― for businesses of any scale," Anatoly Popov said.
At the same time, 79% of large industrial enterprises exclude the use of public GenAI services in their processes for data security reasons. And 50% of industrial companies are ready to implement GenAI in production processes, 42% use it in automation systems. Companies that have moved to large-scale implementation are recording the effect: up to 20% increase in output, up to 20% increase in productivity and up to 15% optimization of resources.
"Banning public GenAI services in high demand is not a barrier, but a driver. Companies want to use generative AI, but they need solutions that meet the requirements of 152-FZ and corporate security policy. The transition from experimentation to industrial operation requires not just technology, but strategy, regular management, and platforms within the corporate circuit. To meet this request from our customers, we have introduced Gigachat Enterprise ("Gigachat Business")," said Anatoly Popov.
