OREANDA-NEWS  SibFU scientists have created a frost-resistant material (mastic) to protect residential buildings and other structures in the harsh conditions of the Arctic and the Far North. A special feature of the development is its resistance to forty-degree frosts, the university's press service reported.

Bitumen polymer mastics are paste-like materials that combine the elasticity and water resistance of bitumen with the strength of polymers. They are used in construction, according to the Siberian Federal University (SFU).
