OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev Made Amendments to the Federal law On Basic Guarantees of the Rights of Children in the Russian Federation.

Amendments to the law define measures that promote good physical, intellectual, psychological, spiritual, and moral development for children, as well as the formation of good habits for a healthy lifestyle. The law includes corresponding responsibilities of government authorities.

Constituent entities of the Russian Federation are given the option to use regional laws to set measures barring children from being in places that pose a threat to their health or moral development and from being out of their homes at night without their parents.
