The deputy director general-the director for personnel management and social and administrative policies of Rosenergoatom Jumberi Tkebuchava said: “The leitmotif of our meeting is the adoption of joint decisions for involving young personnel in the existing and constructed NPPs. Our concern pays great attention to the social programs for young specialists, especially, to their housing problems. We are currently implementing “Mortgage Crediting,” “Housing for Young Specialists,” “Temporary Housing” projects. Today, we can offer young specialists not only stable and well-paid jobs but also a big package of social benefits. And the authorities of the NPP satellite towns can certainly help us in the matter.”
The sides decided to carry out a number of projects aimed at encouraging the schoolchildren of the nuclear towns to become nuclear power engineers: to develop the network of physics and engineering schools, to conduct physics and engineering contests, to organize guest entrance commissions for the youth seeking to enter specialized universities. The sides stressed the necessity to develop the secondary and primary specialized education systems in order to promote the professions required at NPPs. Special attention was given to the problem of graduates employment.
The sides also discussed the heat and water tariff situation in the territories adjacent to NPPs and decided to set up a special working group comprising specialists of Rosenergoatom, NPPs and local authorities.
