OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006, net profit of Sea Port of St. Petersburg OJSC surged 2,8-fold to RUR 26,02 million, RBC reports with reference to the company’s meeting of shareholders held June 22, 2007.

The company’s revenues grew 38% to RU 771.800 million.

Sea Port of St. Petersburg OJSC (Morport SPb) is a managing company of a group of stevedoring companies of the port of St. Petersburg First Stevedoring Company CJSC, Second Stevedoring Company CJSC, Forth Stevedoring Company CJSC and a number of service companies. In 2006, the Group’s share in cargo turnover of the Big Port was 22%. The Group’s throughput totaled 11,8 million tonnes of cargo.
