OREANDA-NEWS. On December 11, 2007 while touring round the Aktyubinsk oblast, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov inaugurated the first stage of the third Zhanazhol gas processing plant, reported the Official website http://en.government.kz.

At the new premises of the plant, the Prime Minister and the accompanying Chinese delegation were shown the mock-up of the Zhanazhol gas processing complex which now comprises three gas processing plants. Upon studying the processing methods, Karim Massimov pressed the button to launch the first stage of the plant.

When speaking before the workers of the Kazakh-Chinese joint venture CNPC-Aktobemunaigaz, K. Massimov noted that “President N. Nazarbayev has set a concrete task of bringing Kazakhstan into the club of 50 most competitive nations of the world. This goal cannot be achieved without practical steps taken to ensure energy security. And the event being held today is one of these important steps. The Chinese investors have kept their word to commission the plant by the Independence Day. They are bona-fide investors and they deserve the same response from the Kazakh side”.
