OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 March 2008 flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines announced summer schedule with 21 destination, expanded its flight network and launches a direct flight to Stockholm.

Flights to Stockholm will be launched on 16 June. flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines will operate flights to Stockholm 3 times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with Boeing 737 – 500 aircraft.

With the aim to offer passengers as favourable circumstances to travel as possible, the airline has set the price for one-way ticket from 95 Lt including taxes. The sale of tickets has been already opened on Internet www.flylal.com and in all agencies.

“We are trying to meet the needs of our passengers, therefore we are closely following the situation on the market and see what destinations should be offered to our passengers. When planning summer schedule destinations, we did not include Stockholm on the list; however we have observed a rather high demand on this direction. Thus, we have managed to get ready with flights to Stockholm during an extremely short period of time, and already now we can offer passengers tickets to this flight”, said flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines CEO Tadas Puksta.

According to him, flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines will strive to achieve its strategic goal of carrying a million passengers this year by increasing the number of flights to the most popular destinations and offering passengers new routes.

“Our strategy is to offer the residents of Lithuania and neighbouring countries convenient connections with Europe and other countries in the world. The airline has enough resources and capacities to launch more flights to new destinations this summer and is able to quickly respond to the competitive situation on the Baltic market. This was proven by launching flight to Stockholm. We will offer passengers a possibility to travel to any urgent destination this season”, said T.Puksta.

The Company intends to pay a particular attention to the markets in Latvia and Estonia – flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines will offer the residents of these countries convenient connections with other countries via Lithuania as well as very attractive prices.
