OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2008. From now on, seniors receiving their pensions to Ukio bankas payment cards will have the chance to use a credit. This new offer is part of Ukio bankas programme “Advantages of the Age”, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

The Bank’s programme designed for seniors offers services that meet consumption needs of persons of venerable age.

“We are glad to introduce relevant and financially beneficial offers using Bank’s services to seniors. From now on, in case of lacking funds for a small purchase or other needs the participants of the seniors’ programme may borrow the Bank for a short term from,” Balanda Bradulskiene, director of Ukio bankas Product Development Department, said.

On seniors’ request, Ukio bankas can extend a credit on Maestro card they hold or on a new Maestro card that is issued for free. The credit is granted in the litas and its amount may reach 80 percent of the client’s pension income. The maximum credit amount is LTL 800.

At Ukio bankas seniors can also benefit from other advantages of the programme. One of them – a 0.1 percent higher interest on time deposits when a deposit is placed in the Bank’s branches or client service units.

Furthermore, the participants of the seniors’ programme may withdraw cash fee-free from Ukio bankas and Nordea-Dansk ATMs and Ukio bankas cash-desks. Apart from that, they will not be charged the Bank’s service fee when paying gas, water-supply or electricity bills until the end of this year.

“Another offer of Ukio bankas programme relevant to seniors is the possibility of saving up to 25 percent of their purchase price upon acquiring Maestro payment card for free because all Ukio bankas payment cards participate in a special “Discount Programme” of the Bank’s partners, director of Ukio bankas Product development Department said.
