OREANDA-NEWS  On 27 February was announced, that Ukrainian Government is ready to recoup ahead of time the grain traders VAT for grain purchasing and its further export. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated opening a meeting on the issues of financing the spring-field works and the agrarian fund operation.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted that today the VAT compensatory amount to the domestic grain traders totaling 2.4bn hryvnias, “We are ready, by agreement, on voluntary lines, to give these 2.4bn hryvnias to grain traders on assumption that they will assign these means for purchasing the Agrarian Fund grain and will ensure the further export,” the Prime Minister stressed.

In its turn the Agrarian Fund at the cost of these means can conclude contracts with the agrarians of purchasing the previous corn crop and forward contracts at market prices. The Agrarian Fund – is our single instrument enabling the state to finance the agrarian sector,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.

Besides, the Prime Minister noted that the sowing campaign needs the attraction of 6bn hryvnias, approximately 3bn hryvnias may be obtained for the agrarian sector through grain export, “Through grain export we can attract some amount of money that will plug the financing gaps caused by the nonoperating banking system”.
