OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2009. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced about the need to simplify the procedure of allocation of land under building of wholesale and retail agricultural markets. The Head of Government declared during the meeting into the issues of the development of agricultural service cooperatives.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized the elaborated draft law “On service cooperatives” has to be amended by an article about holding the procedure of allocation of land plots to build wholesale and retail markets, avoiding tenders, on a free basis: “I would like you to write in the law the simplified procedure of land allocation, literally giving away… The simplified procedure of allocation of land under the markets is a core topic to ensure such agricultural markets to be built.”

The Head of Government has commissioned the Minister of Agrarian Policy to attend a sitting of coordination council of the Parliament on Monday and lobby putting on the agenda and consideration of the mentioned draft law within the session week.

The Premier has also given a commission during the month to define the deployment of such wholesale and retail markets: “In a month we will have the complete map of our battle for building of such wholesale and retail markets”.

Yulia Tymoshenko stressed in the course of two weeks a Gov’t resolution on organization of work of such cooperative markets is to be readied: “I consider the mayors are interested in such markets to be built at the state resources”.

According to the Prime Minister, financing of organization of wholesale and retail markets will be carried out at the account of Stabilization Fund resources, envisaged for social and economic development of the regions.
