OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 July 2009 was announced, that IES-Holding and OJSC Power-Construction Corporation Soyuz signed a turnkey contract for construction of a steam-gas power-producing unit on the premises of Perm HPP-6 (OJSC TGC-9) (EPC). The contract worth more than 3 billion roubles was awarded on the basis of fair and open competitive negotiations conducted through В2В Electronic Trading Floor (ETF) of IES-Holding.

Perm HPP-6 reconstruction is one of the top-priority investment projects of IES-Holding and a key one for development of the power system in the Perm Territory. A new building will be constructed on the premises of the existing plant, where a steam-gas power-producing unit with an installed generation capacity of 120 MW will be installed on the basis of Siemens equipment. It includes two SGT-800 gas turbines and one SST-300 steam turbine, recognized as some of the best in their class. Implementation of this project will increase the electric generation capacity of Perm HPP-6 up to 180 MW, and thermal generation capacity by 240 Gcal/hour. The thermal generation capacity being introduced will ensure heat supply to more than 50 thousand households.

"There are not so many companies in the Russian market capable of working on a turnkey basis, having necessary project base, and providing a full range of engineering services. PCC Soyuz possesses significant experience in construction of electric power facilities and working with Siemens equipment", noted Andrey Shishkin, the First Vice-President and Operational Director of IES-Holding.

"This project is quite serious and complicated but also very interesting for our company", added Sergey Chaplik, the Chairman of OJSC Power-Construction Corporation Soyuz, - "Timelines are extremely tight, and working within the existing plant places additional requirements. We need to be mobilized to succeed in the project".
