OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2009. In the framework of the international automotive exhibition “Interauto” held in Moscow at the end of August, the Avtoperevozchik magazine declared the GAZelle light commercial vehicle the Most successful vehicle 2009.

The experts and readers of the magazine appreciated the operational, customer and price characteristics of the vehicles and called the GAZelle family vehicles the most demanded vehicles at the Russian market.

The light-duty GAZ vehicles remain the absolute sales leaders in the LCV segment in Russia occupying more than 50% of the market share. GAZelle is used as commercial vehicles in the small and medium businesses, in passenger transportations and in various branches of economics and special agencies.

The critical factor in choice of a commercial vehicle remains the ownership cost of the vehicles which is in GAZelle 10-30% lower than the foreign equivalents. The moderate initial price, complex inexpensive service (20% lower than for equivalents) and record low payback period – from 8 months to 1.5 years depending on the business type - gained recognition of the majority of the Russian customers. Besides, thanks to the optimal construction of GAZelle, it can be the basis of various special vehicles: vehicles for municipal services and road construction works, equipment with lifting and other functional mechanisms, various purpose vans, road-tankers, CIT vehicles, labs, shop vehicles, emergency vehicles, etc.
