OREANDA-NEWS. October 1, 2009. In the mode of extreme situations the mobile teams of Novgorodenergo, Pskovenergo and JSC Lenenergo will be acting together. The Head of the Press Service Sergei Chernyshov is a member of the press centre created for operative cover of trainings in the federal, regional and corporate mass media on-line.

In the Novgorod Region, on the basis of the Borovichi Electric Networks of Novgorodenergo, the company starts joint trainings for organisation of interaction and elimination of difficult technological infringements in the electric networks at low temperatures.

According to the training scheme, at a temperature around zero we can see an abrupt strengthening of the northern and north-western wind up to 15-18 meters per second (in blasts reaching 25 meters per second), due to which the operative headquarter of Novgorodenergo has made the decision to implement the mode of increased readiness. As a result of the further deterioration of natural conditions, massive blackouts take place in the 10, 35 and 110 kV networks of Novgorodenergo, a branch of IDGC of North-West. The enterprise switches on to the emergency mode and attracts forces from neighbouring regions to eliminate this emergency.

The mobile teams of the branches of IDGC of North-West Pskovenergo and Vologdaenergo and JSC Lenenergo will take part in the training; according to the training scheme they will render aid to Novgorodenergo in liquidation of the results of emergency situations. The representatives of the Novgorod Enterprise of Electric Network and Novgorod Regional Dispatch Administration will also take part in the training. An important aspect of the training is organisation of interaction with the executive bodies and other services – representative offices of EMERCOM, enterprises of housing and public utilities and contracting organisations.

IDGC of North-West applied several times the experience of joint liquidation by several branches of the results of real emergency situations. The brightest example is restoration of electric supply of the inhabited areas of the Novgorod Region after the hurricane Kirill in the winter of 2007.

Last week similar training took part on the territory of the Murmansk Region. The teams of the branches of IDGC of North-West Kolenergo and Karelenergo took part in the liquidation of results of a simulated emergency situation on a 110 kV line.
