OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2009. In the course of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to the French Republic, State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and the BNP Paribas Group (France) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Memorandum was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev, on behalf of BNP Paribas – by Advisor to the Chairman Jean Lemierre.

The Memorandum states the parties’ intention to participate in financing projects in energy infrastructure and in housing and communal services infrastructure.

Under the Memorandum, BNP Paribas intends to participate in financing the project aimed at building Gas Turbine Electric Power Plant Molzhaninovka in the city of Moscow and a sludge incineration plant of treatment facilities in the city of Rostov-on-Don. 

This Memorandum was signed to build on the Framework Credit Agreement on Financing Investment Projects in the Russian Federation concluded earlier.
