OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. SCM has become partner of the Perspektywy Polish Education Foundation under the project Study in Poland.

The goal of the project, under which Polish delegation will visit three Ukrainian cities (Kharkov, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk), is to present Polish universities, as well as develop partnership between Ukrainian and Polish universities, favour scientific cooperation and students exchange.

Natalya Kryvulina, Manager of SCM educational projects commented on SCM’s participation in the project Study in Poland: "Poland is not only a geographical neighbour of Ukraine, but also a partner in different areas of life - business, sport, culture. We would like the atmosphere of such partnership to spread on another equally important area - education. We believe that cooperation with foreign and, in particular, Polish universities, insight into the European principles and traditions of the European educational system will help our universities adopt the necessary experience, thus raising the quality of Ukrainian education and favouring Ukraine's more rapid integration in the global education space".

"Polish universities consider Ukraine to be a priority area of cooperation", said Waldemar Siwinski, President of the Perspektywy Education Foundation. “We have recently held the Ukrainian-Polish Academic Forum in Kiev. Now we are organizing the Days of Polish Universities and presentations in Kharkov, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk. We want this event to help us expand our cooperation with Ukrainian universities, because it is profitable for both parties. It is much easier to conjointly win grants of the European Union for education and research projects".

The project Study in Poland features 40 Polish universities. Sixteen of them will send their representatives to Ukraine. As part of Polish mission to Ukraine, the partners will organize round tables "Together for quality of higher education" to discuss the issues of Ukraine and Polish cooperation in education.
