OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC actively works under the Contract “Drawing up the Master Plan for gas industry development in Bolivia to 2030”. During the March working visit to Bolivia specialists of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC presented forecast of gas industry development of this country. Results were successfully defended in the state oil and gas company “Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos” (YPFB) in Santa Cruz and in the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy (La Pas) headed by Fernando Vincenti.

Materials submitted by the scientists include description of more than 80 fields of Bolivia, geological and geophysical exploration map for each area, preliminary estimates of predicted resources, field production forecast. Special attention was paid to development of gas transmission system and natural gas processing facilities, which are essential for cost-effective development of Bolivian gas industry.

Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC and autonomous university Gabriel Rene Moreno (UAGRM-INEGAS) signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation in advanced training programs for oil and gas industry specialists.

This agreement covers establishment of joint education projects, carrying out market studies for natural gas and other power sources, organization of joint workshops on geology, production, storage, transmission and use of gas.

Reymi Ferreira Justiniano, rector of autonomous university Gabriel Rene Moreno, said that “…alliance of Bolivian oil and gas university and Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC is a great luck for specialists working in power industry of Bolivia”.

During the working visit delegation of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC was headed by Deputy General Director for Science, Doctor of technical sciences A.S. Kazak.
