OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. TNK-BP presented students of the Tyumen State Oil and Gas University with a new program to prepare young specialists for well servicing. The program will be launched next year at the TNK-BP Siberia branch, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

It is a three-year program and will provide entry-level specialists with theoretical and practical knowledge about enhanced oil recovery techniques and well servicing. The theoretical courses will be taught by Russian and foreign providers, while practical work will take place at TNK-BP oilfields. Upon completion of the program, alumnae will become valuable employees of TNK-BP.

“If a typical young specialist after graduation is one-on-one with practical nuances of oil production and needs 5—7 years to learn the profession, our program will develop competencies much more quickly, in 30 months. During this time, the young specialist will become familiar with best international practice and technology in capital workovers and enhanced oil recovery, with the standards and requirements of TNK-BP, and will learn to convert his knowledge into practice,” said Vsevolod Sadokhin, Manager Organizational Capability Development.
