OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2010. The Government will not cancel the simplified tax system, the Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Tigipko said during meeting with members of the Council of Entrepreneurs affiliated to the Cabinet of Ministers.

"We must stop talking about the cancellation of the simplified tax system. No one will even try to do it, because the issue touches millions of entrepreneurs, operating on the simplified system, and their families" - Serhiy Tigipko said.

According to him, consolidate efforts of business and public authorities are required to work out the problems arising in relation to taxation under the simplified system. Among the main directions of work the Vice Prime Minister pointed tax optimization, settlement of social payments and activities covered by the simplified taxation system.

Serhiy Tigipko convinced that these issues would be resolved soon. Therefore, the Government bill would be given for consideration to Verkhovna Rada before the end of current parliamentary session. The official hoped that the document will before the end of July passe at least the first reading.

"We should not treat entrepreneurs working under the simplified system of taxation, as people who do not pay in full to budget. We must develop the benefits that this system has. This would be for state and business sake. I am confident that we can reconcile the interests of entrepreneurs and government agencies. I see a good level of discussion on this issue"- Serhiy Tigipko said.
