A meeting under guidance of LLCo "Gazpromneftshelf" Director General A.Y. Mandel took place at Sevmash. Advancement at the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform "Prirazlomnaya" was in the centre of attention.

This site is of supreme importance for Sevmash, and for "Gazpromneftshelf" as well. It is necessary that shipbuilders have executed large scope of work at the platform before November 2010. Afterwards it will be towed to Murmansk for fitting-out and concrete ballast filling.

N.Y. Kalistratov, Director General of JSCo “PO “Sevmash” and A.Y. Mandel visited the platform and studied the construction progress. Active work is carried out at the site today. “Prirazlomnaya” has obtained its final architectural image. Mounting of the helipad has started at the platform. This complex assembly is going to be mounted in two stages. As Mr. Mandel said, in spite of complexity of “Prirazlomnaya” project, the advance in its construction is appreciable. For the last five years the building tempo has increased in more than 5 times at Sevmash. But in the judgment of “Gazpromneftshelf” Head we can’t be satisfied with what has already been achieved. It is necessary to go on increasing the number of people working at the platform and to decide the issues of organization, production and planning quickly.

“At the meeting we have discussed the questions of designers’ management, working and correction of engineering documentation. Sevmash is gaining experience in building oil and gas equipment. I am sure that if the company takes into consideration all the problem points in future, building of such constructions will go up-tempo”, - A.Y. Mandel said. It is important to mention that meeting of Governor of Archangelsk region with "Gazprom" and Sevmash delegation had taken place the day before visit of A.Y. Mandel, Director General of LLC “Gazpromneftshelf”, to Sevmash. Possibility of building three platforms for Stockman gas-condensate field development had been discussed at the meeting. As specialists say, it will be able to provide shipbuilders with work for minimum 10 years.
