During the whole year, its directly linked factory finished 163 technical improvement projects' starting operations, 105 goods transferances , 70 project checking and accepting, with 100% of progress punctuality rate, 100% of quality rate, and 95.7% of punctuality rate in acceptance deadline. It completed successfully projects like new continuous annealing unit building, No 2 steelmaking plant steel slag treatment, 2050 hot rolling No3 reheating furnace, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

In recent years, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. faces more difficulties in engineering construction, especially, due to limit of construction site, it has become a prominent problem to prevent the interference of new construction on normal production. In addition, the construction period being compressed and the technical requirements of new projects being improved bring new challenges to the construction management.

Baosteel Co.,Ltd. project management department aims at lean operation, focuses on seven professional management innovation: engineer project safety, quality, schedule, engineering technology, standardized construction site, construction resources, completion and acceptance and work hard. Last year, the key engineering constructions were all completed according to schedule or ahead of schedule. 2030 cold rolling appliance plate, car plate recoiling sets were both put into operation ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, Baosteel strictly adheres to "organize and implement according to quality engineering standards, comply with existing norms and standards for acceptance and satisfy the customers" and issues "quality engineering standards and guidelines". Last year, the unit works reached 100% pass rate and major construction projects were of the first-class quality in national metallurgical system.

Last year, Baosteel regulated and promoted series of technical writings with project management implementation and plan as its core, construction technical solution and specific technical solution as the key points, operation design as its supplement. By strengthening excellent quality, technological innovation is promoted. The technical difficulties in high risk projects such as silicon follow-up project, auto and appliance plate recoils, four coke ovens' main pipe network all had breakthroughs. No2 sintering energy saving comprehensive technological transformation project achieved overall transferance specific technology and No1 sintering 120-meter chimney reinforced construction technique has been affirmed by experts.
