OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2011. The meetings took place at the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ashgabat Khyakimlik in the framework of the visit of a delegation of the Ministry of Economy and Development of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) to the Turkmen capital.

The agenda of the talks focused on the approaches to expanding Turkmen-Azerbaijani partnership in the trade and economic and investment sectors. During the meetings the guests were briefed on the key aspects of the large-scale reforms implemented throughout the country under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the main vectors of the investment policy.

Focusing on the existing profound potential for intensification of mutually advantageous relations, the members of the delegation of the friendly neighbouring country emphasized that the Azerbaijan Republic sought to strengthen long-term business contacts with Turkmen partners. The willingness to collaborate in joint projects in various fields of Turkmen-Azerbaijani intergovernmental cooperation was expressed in this context.
