OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2011. Belarus will reach an annual potash fertilizer production level of 11 million tonnes by 2015, which will result in a serious increase in exports, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during his Monday meeting with top executives of Russian Uralkali.

OJSC Belaruskali is building two mines; a third mine is being designed. Krasnoslobodsky mine, launched in 2009, is close to its design capacity.

There are also plans to build a chemical factory and a factory to produce compound fertilizers in Soligorsk to respond to the global trend toward an increase in NPC consumption.

In 2010, Belaruskali produced 8.6 million tonnes of potash fertilizers, up from 4.3 million tonnes in 2009.
