OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2011. In Moscow there was signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy between State Corporation "Rosatom" and the Ministry of Federal Planning, State Investments and Services of Argentina.

The document was signed General Director of "Rosatom" State Corporation S.V. Kirienko and Minister of Federal Planning, State Investments and Services of the Republic of Argentina Hulio De Vido.

 The parties have agreed to continue to develop cooperation in peaceful use of atomic energy. The Memorandum noticed that Argentina would continue studying of the complex offer of the State Corporation "Rosatom" concerning the future nuclear power objects in the country and their technical parametres. The document also stresses, that Rosatom has passed prequalification as a would-be supplier of the fourth Argentina NPP.

 The memorandum is signed in furtherance of the arrangements, reached during the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Argentina to Moscow on May 23–24, 2011. The parties have agreed to continue negotiations and interactions within the framework of the working groups in support of realisation of the coordinated projects.
