OREANDA-NEWS. November 3, 2011. In Moscow, the 2nd meeting of the Russian-Turkish Working group on financial and banking cooperation was held.

The Russian side was headed by the Deputy Director of the Department for International Economic and Financial Relations of the Bank of Russia, Alexey Chernov, and the Turkish side was headed by the Deputy Executive Director of the Department of Banking and Financial Institutions of the Bank of Turkey, Faruk Kavak.

Novikombank was represented at the meeting by its Vice-President Boris Kirillov.

The meeting discussed issues related to the development of interbank cooperation, the development of mechanisms for providing economic and financial preferences to Russian and Turkish exporters entering into contracts with counterparties in Russian roubles and the Turkish lira. A seminar was held for Russian participants to educate them about the general structure of the Turkish financial sector, interbank markets and payment systems.

Novikombank’s participation in the Working group meeting was focused on the geographic expansion of the Bank so as to enable it to provide its clients with a full range of modern banking services.
