OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2011. Bus production (including minibuses and “work-team buses” on truck chassis) in Russia declined by 0.7% year on year to 30.8 thousand units in the first nine months of 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data. Of the total, output of domestic models was 25.3 thousand vehicles (down 5.3%), while foreign-brand bus output was 5.4 thousand units (up 28.8%).

Bus sales rose 19.8% to 39.7 thousand units in January-September 2011. Domestic bus sales fell by 3.8% to 22.9 thousand vehicles, and locally assembled foreign-brand bus sales rose by 27.8% to 5.1 thousand vehicles. The highest sales growth rates are noted in the segments of imported buses. New imports rose twice to 9.1 thousand buses, and used imports rose still more – by 2.7 times to 2.6 thousand buses.
