OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2012. Total harvester production in Russia rose 49.9% year on year to 7,554 units in January-December 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data.

Of the total, output of grain harvesters was up 48.9% to 6,362 units in 2011. Factory shipments rose 54.0% to 6,304 grain harvesters in the period.

Output of forage harvesters rose 55.6% year on year to 910 units in January-December 2011. Shipments rose 34.1% to 1,218 forage harvesters.

Among other farm equipment, Russia produced in the period 3,013 ploughs (twice as many in comparison with January-December 2010); 5,064 seeders (up 1.8 times); 30,069 cultivators and 5,865 harrows (up 1.5 times); 3,795 mowing machines (up 1.3 times to January-December 2010).
